Y, adicionalmente, sugiere planificar los men\u00fas diarios con anticipaci\u00f3n y darse un gusto de vez en cuando.<\/p>\n<p>Por su parte, la Sociedad Espa\u00f1ola de Arteriosclerosis (SEA) recomienda reducir el consumo de carnes rojas, evitar las procesadas y preferir las magras o blancas. Tambi\u00e9n advierte que el consumo de bebidas azucaradas \u201cse relaciona directamente con un aumento del riesgo de enfermedades cardiovasculares, obesidad, s\u00edndrome metab\u00f3lico y diabetes del tipo 2\u201d. Y \u201cdesaconseja el consumo habitual de l\u00e1cteos con az\u00facares a\u00f1adidos\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Tomando en cuenta todo esto, \u00bfson nuestras costumbres alimenticias y platos tradicionales buenos para nuestra salud cardiovascular?<\/p>\n<p><strong>La dieta de los ecuatorianos <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Si nos detenemos a pensar en los h\u00e1bitos alimenticios de los ecuatorianos y en c\u00f3mo es su comida t\u00edpica, f\u00e1cilmente nos daremos cuenta de que nos alejamos de las recomendaciones nutricionales saludables. \u201cNo creo que haya platos perjudiciales. Hay platos con m\u00e1s grasa y otros con m\u00e1s carbohidratos. Lo importante son las cantidades de lo que nos sirvamos y, sobre todo, saber con qu\u00e9 lo comemos\u201d, dice la nutricionista Gabriela Jord\u00e1n sobre la comida t\u00edpica. \u201cNo se acostumbra a comer ensaladas variadas. Es muy limitada la variedad y es por eso que, en la mayor parte de los lugares, lo cl\u00e1sico es la lechuga con tomate y cebolla encurtida, que muchas veces es muy aburrida como ensalada\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La dieta de los ecuatorianos consiste principalmente en carbohidratos (arroz, fideo y pan, sobre todo), siendo muy pobres nutricionalmente.\u00a0 Y, adem\u00e1s, suele acompa\u00f1arla de bebidas gaseosas, llenas de az\u00facar, y las cada vez m\u00e1s populares bebidas energizantes y jugos endulzados.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nuestros platos t\u00ed<\/strong><strong>picos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la creciente costumbre de consumir alimentos procesados (papas fritas, embutidos, pasteler\u00eda, etc.), en los que sobresale el uso de grasas trans y saturadas, podemos ver que los platos de la cocina tradicional contienen malas combinaciones de alimentos, con exceso de sal y condimentos, en porciones exageradamente grandes y, en su mayor\u00eda, fritos o con altas cantidades de grasa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSi no se controla bien es f\u00e1cil comer m\u00e1s carbohidratos de lo normal. Nuestra gastronom\u00eda tiene muchos platos t\u00edpicos a base de los carbohidratos. Y como no son acompa\u00f1ados por los vegetales terminamos llen\u00e1ndonos con el exceso\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Basta revisar la composici\u00f3n y preparaci\u00f3n de nuestros platos, como el arroz con menestra, carne y patacones; el bol\u00f3n de verde y chicharr\u00f3n, la cazuela de mariscos acompa\u00f1ada de arroz o carne apanada con arroz y pur\u00e9.\u00a0 Tambi\u00e9n, tenemos costumbres poco saludables, como comer fideos con arroz, optar por las empanadas fritas a las hechas al horno, consumir el pollo con piel, preferir productos procesados como postre y no una fruta, o no incluir vegetales como protagonistas de nuestros platos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M\u00e1s natural y menos industrial<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La Fundaci\u00f3n del Coraz\u00f3n aconseja seguir una dieta cardiosaludable, variada y equilibrada, evitando alimentos con abundantes grasas saturadas, trans y colesterol (l\u00e1cteos enteros, mantequilla y manteca, carnes grasas, yema de huevo, frituras comerciales y boller\u00eda industrial). Tambi\u00e9n sugiere consumir productos frescos e incluir alimentos ricos en magnesio (frutos secos, cereales y legumbres), reducir la sal y no a\u00f1adirla en la mesa, utilizar hierbas, especias y lim\u00f3n para condimentar.<\/p>\n<p>Algo importante: no comer sopas de sobre ni aderezos y salsas de sobre porque est\u00e1n llenos de sal y preservantes.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Fuentes: <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dra.
