En consecuencia, cada vez m\u00e1s personas pasan sentadas por largas horas, lo que conlleva da\u00f1os directos o indirectos a la salud cardiovascular.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl sedentarismo es uno de los factores de riesgo m\u00e1s conocidos detr\u00e1s de las enfermedades cardiovasculares\u201d, reafirma el cardi\u00f3logo Ricardo Hidalgo. Uno de los efectos m\u00e1s conocidos de la falta de actividad f\u00edsica y ejercicio es el aumento de peso. Pero existen otros da\u00f1os:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desarrollo o incremento de enfermedad cardiaca<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La enfermedad cardiaca m\u00e1s com\u00fan es el estrechamiento de las arterias coronarias. Otras enfermedades card\u00edacas son la hipertensi\u00f3n, los ataques al coraz\u00f3n (infartos) o la insuficiencia card\u00edaca.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHacer ejercicio es un factor cardioprotector\u201d, dice el especialista. Fortalece el coraz\u00f3n y mejora la circulaci\u00f3n sangu\u00ednea, contribuye a disminuir el riesgo de enfermedades como colesterol alto, enfermedad arterial coronaria y ataque al coraz\u00f3n y puede ayudar a disminuir la presi\u00f3n arterial y los niveles de triglic\u00e9ridos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peligro de sufrir co\u00e1gulos sangu\u00edneos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Un estudio publicado en el European Journal of Preventive Cardiology dio a conocer sobre los riesgos de la inactividad. Seg\u00fan el documento, estar m\u00e1s de cuatro horas seguidas al d\u00eda sentados se asocia con un riesgo 35% mayor de sufrir co\u00e1gulos sangu\u00edneos que estar menos de 2.5 horas en esa posici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Hidalgo recomienda hacer una pausa cada hora, levantarse y caminar por cinco minutos, como prevenci\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n aconseja realizar ejercicios que estimulen la circulaci\u00f3n, como golpearse primero un tal\u00f3n con el otro y despu\u00e9s hacerlo del otro lado. Estas rutinas son vitales para las personas que tienen dilataciones venosas, venas varicosas y trastornos de la circulaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desarrollo o incremento de cuadros depresivos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cCuando una persona hace menos ejercicio, el cuerpo produce menos dopamina y serotonina\u201d, da a conocer Hidalgo. La dopamina es el neurotransmisor del sistema cardiovascular y nervioso, mientras que la serotonina es el neurotransmisor del estado de \u00e1nimo. Es decir, las personas que pasan mucho tiempo sentadas pueden tener un incremento en las probabilidades de tener cuadros depresivos.<\/p>\n<p>Para evitar estos da\u00f1os, es recomendable realizar 150 minutos de ejercicio a la semana, distribuidos en al menos tres d\u00edas. Sin embargo, Hidalgo advierte de la importancia de acudir a un m\u00e9dico antes de retomar la actividad f\u00edsica para hacer un plan de acondicionamiento y evitar lesiones o ataques al d\u00eda sentados conlleva da\u00f1os directos o indirectos a la salud cardiovascular.\n<ul>\n<li>El aumento no saludable de peso es el da\u00f1o m\u00e1s conocido del sedentarismo.<\/li>\n<li>La inactividad puede contribuir al desarrollo de enfermedades coronarias.<\/li>\n<li>La inactividad es un factor de riesgo para sufrir co\u00e1gulos sangu\u00edneos.<\/li>\n<li>Tambi\u00e9n puede haber desarrollo o incremento de cuadros depresivos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Hacer al menos 30 minutos de ejercicio al d\u00eda tiene varios beneficios:\n<ul>\n<li>Fortalece el coraz\u00f3n y mejora la circulaci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<li>Disminuye el riesgo de sufrir colesterol alto, enfermedad arterial coronaria y ataque al coraz\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<li>Adem\u00e1s, reduce la presi\u00f3n arterial y los niveles de triglic\u00e9ridos.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Si pasas mucho tiempo sentado, se recomienda hacer caminatas de cinco minutos cada
